There are different types of Thigh Lifts in Mexico

Inner thigh lift (medial) / A medial thigh lift reduces excess skin and fat on the upper portion of the inner thigh. It is for those patients who are not satisfied with the kind of shape that their legs have or patients who would like to remove the excess skin that comes after an extreme weight loss. During a medical thigh lift, an incision is made in the groin that goes to the back of the crease of the buttock. Skin in the lifted and removed and the excess fat is also removed to improve the shape of the leg and tighten the skin.

Outer thigh lift (lateral)/ A lateral thigh lift improves the appearance of sagging out thighs. This procedure may be done in conjunction with liposuction of the outer thighs and is often done as part of a body lift. Sagging outer thighs together with fat accumulation are referred to as “saddle bags” . An outer thigh lift helps correct this condition and restore a smooth, streamlined appearance.

What is the recovery time for a Thigh Lift in Mexico?

Our patients spend one night in the surgery center post op before returning to their accommodations. In general, patients are walking around the same day they have their surgery. This helps to reduce swelling. Pain and swelling are common post op for the first few days. Pain will be controlled with medications. Stitches will be removed after approx. a week post op. The deeper sutures are dissolvable or removed about 3 weeks post op. Patients are required to wear a support garment for a month post op to reduce swelling and they also need to take antibiotics to ensure that they prevent infection. Most of the swelling will disappear after 3 weeks but some swelling can remain for several months. Patients need to avoid strenuous activity for a month post op. Patients can go back to work after two weeks.
